Several parks and a 64-acre nature preserve, two
town beaches, YMCA, YWCA, town tennis and paddle courts, gardening facilities, indoor ice
rink, newcomers club, Darien Historical Society, Darien Library, Darien Nature Center,
summer day camp, art and antique shows, Senior Center and Darien Movie Theater.
Cherry Lawn Park

27.5 acres. Five tennis courts, small pond with dock, multi-use Casey Field, nature trails, playground areas, basketball court, softball field, picnic areas.
Darien Nature Center
Located in Cherry Lawn Park children’s zoo, summer garden tour, special events, etc.
Selleck’s Woods Park
Parkland Drive
With almost 2 miles of trails, the woods are a
wonderland of ecologically diverse fauna and flora. There are 7
distinct ecosystems ranging from densely wooded areas to ponds,
marshes, swamps, streams and even prairie pockets. A 1997 study
sponsored by the Darien Nature Center identified 114 plant species.
The woods also serve an important role in maintaining local wildlife
populations by providing critical sanctuary for our songbirds,
shorebirds, waterfowl and small mammals.

Tilley Pond Park

8.6 acres open lawn areas, walking/jogging paths, benches, garden area, wooded areas, 2.75 acre pond, stone hut with fireplace.
Woodland Park
Middlesex Road
Woodland Park is the largest remaining natural public open
space in Darien. It currently consists of a number of walking trails
as well as a limited gravel parking area accessible from Middlesex
Road. There are two trail systems, two ponds (Turtle Pond and Old
Maid’s Pond), a stream, a footbridge, an archaic stonewall, and
ornamental plantings. The extensive trail system includes step ways
and bridges, two field areas, two ponds, and ornamental plantings
Pear Tree Point Beach

Pear Tree Point Beach is an 8-acre beach
loaded with amenities including picnic tables and grills, a bath
house, a gazebo, and a concession stand in addition to two great
beaches. It also features an excellent boat launch ramp.
Weed Beach

“In addition to a large beach, this 22-acre park
includes picnic areas, a bathhouse, a concession stand, children's
play areas, 6 tennis courts, 5 paddle tennis courts, and a
windsurfing area.
